About the Artists

Guru Suba Parmar is an acclaimed Bharatanatyam exponent, exemplary teacher, and Artistic Director of Shubanjali. Steeped in the nattuvanar tradition, her choreography is celebrated by critics for its vintage grace and modern relevance. A recipient of the Presidential Scholar’s "Most Influential Teacher Award," she has staged 1,000+ global performances. She is a celebrated pioneer in traditional and collaborative choreography.

The Bharatanatyam artists are dedicated students of Shubanjali School of Performing Arts, trained in the traditional Pandanallur style. They have completed their Arangetram(graduation) , marking a significant milestone in their artistic journey, and have performed extensively across New Jersey and internationally. Their recent appearances at the Cleveland Aradhana Festival, along with international performances in India at Chembur Fine Arts Society, Vani Mahal, and Nellai Sabha, have received much appreciation from audiences and dance critics alike. Their performances are noted for strong technique, expressive abhinaya, and deep commitment to tradition. Names of the artists will be provided during the program.
