Art, Song, and Animation brings together pianist Lyndon Ji, soprano Sydney Pexton, and clarinetist/multimedia artist Nikki Pet in a program of Classical art songs complemented by still and animated projections. Art and animation will be created by hand, but a novel performance of Schubert's dramatic Erlkönig will also use cutting-edge A.I. technology that lets the animation follow the musical spontaneity of the performers, inviting the audience into a rich and immersive multi-sensory experience. Works by Schubert, Schumann, Debussy, and Poulenc.
